What was on in the cinema?

Perhaps it’s no surprise that ‘Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith’ was the movie of the year in 2005, given the massive cult following the film has. In total, the movie took over £500 million at box offices worldwide!

What was happening in the world?

Sadly, 2005 was the year that London was rocked by a coordinated terrorist bomb attack which hit the public transport system in the city. It was also the year that pubs were allowed to open for 24 hours for the first time and that popular supermarket, Safeway, disappeared from Britain with the rebranding of the final stores to Morrison’s.
