Strategy development

We knew that social media was a channel that could help the brand achieve success quickly and would be scalable. We developed a strategy that incorporated a blend of social media activity, along with offline marketing materials for local community growth.

Brand and Identification

The pet brand already had some brilliant brand assets, such as their existing logo. We built on this to create further marketing materials such as social media templates, branding for their own treat range, flyers and email marketing collateral.

Social Media Development

We created a social media plan for each month, targeted at dog owners, focusing on the two main platforms: Facebook and Instagram. Content included using the real dogs to present the brand and showcase new product releases. We also ran competitions to increase the reach. We also created templates to ensure consistency across social media and supported with brand collaborations to help amplify the content further.

General Marketing Support

Alongside the social media marketing strategy, we also supported the brand with their in-store experience too. This included developing a ‘Paws of Fame’ photo-station so every dog visiting the retail location can be added to the photo wall. We also designed a loyalty card and supported the business with starting local deliveries when the market location had to temporarily close in Spring 2023.

Description

A pet business, based in the heart of Chester, with a shop located in the New Chester Market and selling online to customers across the UK. Inspired by and named after the real-life fun-loving labradors of the business founder, Digby and Champ, the brand offers a range of high-quality dog beds, toys, accessories, chews and treats.

The challenge was creating brand awareness for the pet brand and establishing a customer base for the brand in a saturated market.

The pet brand asked Umbrella Marketing Team to provide marketing support right at the beginning of their journey to help establish the brand with their target audience, both in the area local to their physical shop and with the wider base of potential customers online.

The goal was to develop a strategy and tailored marketing activity to help grow their online and offline brand visibility and to drive sales.
